Worth a Look: On Female Leadership in the Workplace
I found an interesting piece today, On Female Leadership in the Workplace, by Sofia Jasmine Sheth of Condé Nast. The author’s perspective and advice regarding women in leadership roles is unique given she cites the style and behavior of a mentor of hers.
The article made me curious. Just how far has the female presence in the traditionally male-dominated world of policing come since women made their first appearance on the job? What is the level of acceptance by thier male peers? Are there barriers getting to leadership psoitions and once they are there, do they have the same status and respect as the ‘guys’ do?
What has your experience been?
My lady is my best mentor.
